Seminars Offered

Great news!  Personal Designs has paint and they will travel!  Contact Personal Designs if you would like to host a painting seminar in your area.  Gather artists either from the private sector, local OSCI's and ONE-Stroke Students, a Tole & Decorative Painting Studios, decorative painting groups, or SDP Chapters who wish to hold a painting session with Angela and Joan for a period of 2, 2 1/2, or 3 days.  Class size can range from 10 students to as many as 35, depending upon the subject matter,.

Personal Designs offers more than classroom instruction.  They truly care about you learning each and every stroke.  Your seminar will be a casual and fun experience as well as a truly in-depth painting session.   All it takes is the right words or a tilt of the brush and the magic falls into place.  Let Personal Designs help you discover the best in your painting ability.  You will have two instructors to helping you every step of the way!  Joan and Angela create a fun atmosphere and wonderful learning environment.  You will love this team and what they have to offer.

Seminars are designed especially to fit the needs of your group.  Choose from many ONE-Stroke projects designed by the artists, or suggest one of your own to be specially created for your group.  Personal Designs offers decorative painting on fabric, glass, wood, paper mache, canvas, soap, candles, tin and so much more.  If you see a photograph on our website of a project or topic you would like to paint, let us know.  Even if we cannot provide the same surface, we can surely come up with something just as beautiful.  We have also developed seminars in ONE-Stroke design and placement as well as one tailored especially for OSCI's.

What this includes:
We will literally paint until you faint!  We will teach at least a 7 hour classroom day consisting of 6 hours painting instruction, and an hour break for lunch. Your group may also take a brief break mid-morning and mid-afternoon to stretch and move around.  We can do more if you like, the pace is up to you.  We will fit as many projects in as possible.

We will provide all necessary paints, mediums, brushes, painting references and surfaces.  Students will bring paper plates, paper towels and their water basins.  Discounts may be offered to those students who wish to bring their own brushes.

We will also bring special values of ONE-Stroke items and exciting door prizes.  You will be amazed at how much fun your seminar will be.  

Travel expenses are the financial responsibility of the venue or host. These travel arrangements will be made by Angela or Joan and will be by air or vehicle.  An itinerary will be forwarded to the host. These charges will be billed and paid by the host prior to the seminar

Lodging arrangements should be made by the host, in a hotel comparable to Holiday Inn.  Angela and Joan will share a room and it should be a double-bed and non-smoking room.

Transportation should be provided by the host from the time of Angela and Joan's arrival until the departure at the close of their stay.  Arrangements to get them to the airport on the day of departure should also be provided.

Driving Should Angela and Joan drive to the seminar, a $0.34/per mile fee will be incurred for a round trip, originating from Pasadena, Texas.
